Wise
Women
This is a game in which we collaborate to tell the stories of gifted women in a small island community in the 1950s. These women are almost all related to one another in some way- we explore both happy and dysfunctional family relationships in this game.
GROUP SINGING is a main feature of this game, however no pre-game song learning is necessary. We will explore bonding through song, rather than aiming for perfection.

DIVINATION magic is a main feature of this game.

CHARACTERS are pre-written and are cast before we ask for any money. Every participant will have the chance to fine-tune their character to ensure it brings the most fun! All of the characters in this game are female, but we welcome players of any gender.
SOCIAL MEDIA: we will be using Discord, Facebook, and this website to provide information to participants. However, interacting via any of these platforms is completely voluntary. Our primary method of communicating with participants will always be via email.
We will be running 2 versions of this game: one prioritising setting aesthetics, and one prioritising financial and physical accessibility
What
A weekend live roleplaying event, in which we collaboratively explore the close relationships found in a group of women in the 1950s.
Our characters inhabit a small fishing community on a remote Scottish island. They all possess a deeper connection to the sea, one which allows them to sense coming disaster. By working together they can influence the outcome of storms and accidents- protecting their loved ones caught in the storm.
GROUP SINGING
These Wise Women channel their powers through group singing. Songs will be available to learn before the event, however this is not necessary as there will be workshops pre-game. We must stress that having a 'good voice' is absolutely not a requirement for this game. We are aiming for emotion, realism, and connection with others... not a performance!
This is a non-combat LARP event.
Where
We have exclusive use of the historic Gearrannan Blackhouses located on the rugged coastline of the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, UK.
We have chosen this site for its spectacular setting and historical accommodation. Travel to site requires getting a ferry or flight to the Isle of Lewis in the far north of Scotland.
We have exclusive use of Seahouses Hostel, located on the coast of north Northumberland. We have chosen this venue because it is affordable, physically accessible and close to public transport.
